Definition of Galactagogue:

Galactagogues (Gr. milk, + to lead, leading forth) increase lacteal secretion: pilocarpus, ricinus (leaves locally), thea (internally with alcohol, beer, porter), etc [Culbreth1927, pg 46].

Substance that promotes lactation, stimulating production and /or flow of breast milk [Sanchez BOTM680].

Promotes lactation [Palmer2004].
